    I have a problem with mail delivery from local scripts to a remote mail
    server.

    The problem is as follows:

    Our client has transferred mail records for his domain (ex. domain.com) to
    a third party server (e.g. the one using google apps), MX-records
    point to the new server. Mail for the domain works good. But when he
    is trying to send an e-mail using his scripts on hosting account to his
    mailbox user@domain.com, such letter is not received. EXIM log-files
    show the following new line

    2008-02-21 08:51:57 1JPXwr-0002VO-O6 ** user@domain.com
    R=virtual_aliases: no such address here

    That means delivery to a local address that does not exist, since mail
    service is supported by another server. But EXIM still considers that
    it is servicing this mail server.

    What should be done to deliver mail to a remote server, and local server
    would not consider this domain as a local one

    Check and see if their domain is listed in /etc/remotedomains If not, add it in and it should fix the problem.
