Anyone knows how do i disable file download via ftp and via the build in file manager? I would like my developer to access to the server to make changes to web files but not download them.

    Hello,

There are no native features for this type of functionality (read-only access to cPanel/FTP), but you are welcome to submit a feature request for this via:

    Thank you.

If a user have edit permissions and edits these files on a server/account, the client pc must download this file (temporary) to the local pc before begin editing.
So i think there is no solution for this.
But there is a general solution to prevent downloads from a webserver (over http)

    Hello :)

Could you elaborate further if this is an additional question? Or, is this a statement to the original poster?

    Thank you.
