What, precisely, do you mean? Disable IMAP for one account but keep POP3, SMTP and webmail active for that account?

yes. I don´t want them to use imap at all, only pop.
Disabling webmail would be good also, but i think is asking too much ;)

hi, if you need to disable that function for only ONE account, I recommend to create an special package using a specifically created features set excluding imap, webmail, or whatever the service you want to restrict. I use to do this since sometimes special clients don't adapt to the default packages ;)

    Hi,
    Thanks for your answer.
    I will try it :D

It would be nice also to have control per user..an Ideia to future cpanel versions..

Cool, happy to have been of help.

In the case of having major control per user, maybe not, cause such level of per user control would allow newbie admins to "modify" accounts easily without applying first a reasonable policy to their features/packages. Actually you can only "modify" the quota and the max bandwidth without changing to another hosting package. Although this may appear to be interesting is the major source for opening tickets between my resellers: you modify an account without keeping track of the changes over time and if newx year you "update" a feature set or a hosting package, that modified accounts will be "upgraded" too to the defaults specified by that updated package.
I've noted that generally new users (resellers) don't understand the real point of using packages in a smart way.

    Hi!
I have read this post and i have also the similar problem: "to anable IMAP only for some account or package".
But i don't understand if is it possible or not and if yes, how... :)

    Thank you

Functionality to enable some mail protocols while disabling others for specific accounts is not native to cPanel/WHM at this time. You may wish to submit a official feature request for it on our feature request system at:
