    Hi,
I am in shared linux hosting
My CPU resource limit is 8% in 24 CPUs.
I run a wordpress blog and already on the way to control things like disabling CPU hungry plugins, installing Cache plugins and optimizing database, etc.,
I got a suggestion that Awstats and webalizer take much cpu server load.
I wanted to disable them but in my cpanel that option is locked.
I contacted my hosting provider but they refused as it is a shared hosting and they cannot disable those features for a single user.
I don't rely on them or use either.
I also don't have WHM option which most pages come up with when I searched in google.
Can anyone help me to disable these or is there anyway to make them less work like they monitor a dummy file (sorry for being silly here)
I just don't want them to take much CPU resource. Any links tutorials or suggestions will be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance
    Regards,
    Nicks

The analog, awstats, webalizer and other subdirectories in the tmp directory should not be deleted. Deleting them could cause more problems than it might solve.

It is possible for a server administrator to allow a cPanel user to choose his/her own stats programs, which would allow you to disable one or more of the programs yourself, but this is an administrative decision, and it sounds like the administrator of the server has chosen not to allow this. There is no way to bypass this in cPanel.
