Hi,
I need to prevent BoxTrapper accounts from sending verification requests to the alleged senders address.

I stopped using BoxTrapper some time ago because it just chewed up CPU and disk space... glad to see it has improved... however back then there was an option to disable sending the verification notice, but I'm unable to find such a setting in the current version (11.24.4-CURRENT_36167).

Suggestions?

So you want to leave BoxTrapper enabled but disable the email that is sent out that lets users authenticate themselves as sending legitimate email to you?

Spot on!

BoxTrapper is great at trapping the SPAM, but I have found that an increasing number of SPAMers are sending a response back to the verification request which BoxTrapper accepts as a verification and thus delivers the email... I want to prevent this!

I will manually go into BoxTrapper and authenticate the mail I wish to accept!

Just in case anyone is still watching this. I have figured out a solution....which was quite simple actually. So simple I couldn't believe it.

You can customize the To: in the verification email. Normally that goes to %email% which is the sender's email address. You can just put anything in there like [email protected]. Then the verification email doesn't go back to the sender. It'll take a few days for me to make sure there aren't any complicates. I'll repost if I find any.
