I've been trying to disable strict mode for quite some time now. I've tried changing the settings, and every time I reboot the server/mysql it just keeps telling me that strict mode is still enabled.

I've used the instructions in the two cpanel threads on the topic, here and here.

Any troubleshooting steps or other ways to disable strict mode would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello,

You may want to check /usr/my.cnf to see if that is populated as default installs tend to populate that file with the STRICT settings.

Ah, thank you. I'll look there. I've been looking in /etc/my.cnf
