How to re-enable install a free cPanel-signed hostname certificate after used disable_auto_hostname_certificate?

I would assume you created the touch file to disable this. To re-enable you should just be able to remove the file. Information on these files can be found here: Manage Service SSL Certificates - Version 68 Documentation - cPanel Documentation
The file is located at: /var/cpanel/ssl/disable_auto_hostname_certificate
You may also want to ensure that the disable_service_certificate_management touch file was also not created here:
/var/cpanel/ssl/disable_service_certificate_management
