The WHM option "Always redirect users to the ssl/tls ports when visiting /cpanel, /webmail, etc." adds various ScriptAlias and ScriptAliasMatch options to the Apache config so that browsing to example.com/cpanel, for example, redirects to example.com:2083.

Does anyone know if it is possible to disable such redirects on a per account basis? I'd like one account to be able to use faq.example.com/cpanel to display a page detailing the features and benefits of cPanel instead of redirecting the user to the cPanel login area, whilst still leaving example.com/cpanel to redirect as normal.

I would ideally like to be able to do so through .htaccess files as opposed to modifying a given domain's VirtualHost entry in the main Apache configuration, allowing users to change this at will if they need.

    Has anyone tried this before?
