Searched around a bit but haven't found the answer to my kind of specific use case.
We're spinning up services for our clients and part of our product is we manage DNS and web hosting on our clients' behalf. I'm spinning up WHM/Cpanel etc now because it's gotten to be too much to administer manually, as I've been doing for years.
My question is: All of our clients have email hosted elsewhere (Office 365, GSuit) and it'll always be that way due to the nature of our services.
So, for security and server load reasons I think it's worth just disabling our server's mail servers altogether. I just want to ensure I've gone about it the right way.
I disabled spamassassin, Pop3, mailman, IMAP, and Exim in service manager.
I'm also considering disabling CPBandwd, RecentAuthedMailpTracker, MailHealth, and EximStats,
In the featurers manager I've disabled everything to do with mail.
Am I on the right track here? I'm going to look at the firewall here too at some point.
Finally, I'd still like to get mail out of WHM for alerts and such. Is it possible to configure another SMTP server for alerts, I can't seem to find it.
Thanks
