Disabling Nameserver

Hi, I was wondering what all happens when you DISABLE the nameserver (Server Configuration >> Nameserver selection)?

The main thing I am concerned about is does it delete all my zone entries?

I want to disable the nameserver feature but want to make sure the zones dont get deleted incase I need to switch the nameserver feature back on.

Disabling the nameserver service won't kill your zone files (in /var/named/*.db for instance) nor the nameserver config. in /etc
