Hi!

It is a fairly new feature that an e-mail address owner can set forwarders and filters simply logging into the 2096 webmail interface.
This is something that I would like to disable and only let the cPanel admin do that, because I have noticed that many e-mail addresses or compromised and with the password hackers can set forwarders causing a ton of problems. Users are asking me about mail delivery messages etc and I need to search a lot to find these problematic forwarders all the time that cause the problem.

It would be nice if I could disable these extra settings that an e-mail address owner can set, it is enough that he/she can reach webmail through the 2096 interface.

Thanks,
Daniel

To prevent a cPanel user from adding forwarders through cPanel, you'll have to disable the following features:

Email Domain Forwarding
Email Filtering Manager
Forwarder Manager

Thanks kodeslogic!

My problem is that your solution disables the features for the cPanel user too, not just the e-mail address owner (who doesn't have access to cpanel). I need a solution where the cPanel user can do anything :)2083), but the e-mail address owners cannot (through :2096 webmail).

Thanks,
Daniel

Hey there! This question came up last week, but currently there isn't a way to do this without disabling the entire feature for the user.
