Disaster Recovery / Fail over

I do not have problems with my existing hosting provider on a regular basis, but when I do I'm down for days. I'm trying to get things setup so that everything rolls over to a backup host when a failure occurs on my primary host.

Is there a way to set this up using cPanel? If not, does anyone have any suggestions on where to start?

cPanel does not natively support a high availability or load balancing configuration beyond cPanel DNS-Only which is for DNS purposes only. However, some users have been able to manually implement custom solutions to allow for this.
