    Hello,

    I'v realised something strange today.

In a client on my cpanel I see:

    Main Domain a.....a.gr
    Home Directory /home/a******g
    Disk Space Usage 84.79 / ∞ MB

but when I try to see the disc usage from shell:

    root@ [/home/a******g]# du -sh /home/a*****g/public_html/
    5.7G /home/a*****g/public_html/

I did realise this when I saw the account's backup file.

why could this be happening ?

Are all files in this users account, owned by that user, or nobody?

yes all the files have owner:group the username of the user.

Just out of curiosity, what does the Disk Space Usage page in this users account tell you?

For some strange reason I didn't recieve the notification of the post reply on my email.Anyways.

    The result is very strange:

    a...a.gr.jpg

I dont understand why it shows 5,8GB in in public_html but only 81,18MB total disk space used.

Me either, but whatever it is, its in public_html it seems. Down below that area you grabbed a screenshot from is a tree that you can expand public_html and drill down more. I'd head there next if I was you.

its a folder full with .swf files ,see my 1st post, but what difference would that do? the extention of the files?

the problem is that cpane isn't counting them.
