HI,

I have just randomly noticed disk quota is not working properly on one of my servers.

Looking at a client account Disk Usage is at 10.8 MB / 2.5 GB ( 0% )

However, when i click in to see where space is used:

Mail: 1,388.46 MB
Public: 2,038.15 MB
3,452.75 MB total disk space used.
2,560.00 MB quota limit (0.08 MB used).

Clearly this is not right? it's essentially giving the user as much space as needed.

How is it possible to fix this?

Thank you, I have ran through the initial quote setup, while it said quotes have been enabled and it also updated each account it said it had been disabled on /home to prevent performance degradation... I'm assuming it's referring to the /home directory only and not the accounts under it?

The disk space usage is still reading 0mb or low for most accounts - I presume this would be until quotes are updated by the system? Is there a way I can force it manually? I'm not sure if fixquotas is the right task for this?

Are backups enabled on that server? Are you backing up to the same drive you want to backup?
All backups are stored in an offsite location, they are removed from /backup after backup has been transferred.
