Disk Space [moved]

    Hi,
    I dont know why my account is using too much space. I have only 1 email in my email account. and also i am using around 20 MB disk space for web files. Following folder is using too much space.


    ftp://alphainternational.in/mail/cur/
    /home/alphaint/mail/cur/
    this folder is using 249 MB.

    Please tell me why this folder is using too much space. Do i need to delete this folder ? how i can reduce my space. I need free space to upload web stuff. Please help me. Your help will be appreciated. Thanks.

    disk space is not restricted to your home directory

    It is mysql data
    temp data
    backup data
    ...

    Delete

    Do i need to delete this folder?

    no one can say for sure. You hold the keys to know what is in it. Most likely its someones mail storage. You should limit the size of accounts/mailboxes if you are that restricted on space.

    Check your var/log folders as well. you could have some bloated files in there that never rotate out.

    backup data? if the backup is on a second drive e.g. /backup/cpbackup/weekly/username, this emans that cpanel will recognize this as files used by the account username?
