I'm unsure of the proper way to update and change my dns settings as I'm moving servers.

This is what I've done so far:

WHM/Transfers/Copy an account from another server

With "Change DNS on Source Server to Point to Local Server"..

The site is now on the new server and working fine. Now I haven't changed the dns from the registrar yet..

I want to change the ns "name" as it was shared with 3 domains and one ip on the old server.

What is the proper way to edit the zone file and registrar to the new ip and ns??

    Hello :)

Do you intend to use the same name servers for the new server, with different name server IP addresses? Or, do you intend to use new name servers?

If you have already configured a new set of name servers on the destination server, you can simply login to the domain registrar of the domain name that was transferred to adjust it's assigned name servers. If you need to make any changes to the existing DNS Zone on the destination server, you can use:

"WHM >> DNS Functions >> Edit DNS Zone"

    Thank you.
