We are now using DNS Clustering after finalling dumping the Win DNS boxes we had :D . The clustering seems to be working well, but I've a question.
All resource records transferred to the secondary & tertiary nameservers are owned by root. Is this the way it should be or an issue?
I'm thinking it's because of the cluster setup using root as the username. I've searched some for a possible security risk in this, but haven't found anything.
Am I worrying for nothing or should this be changed?

    Thanks,
    Karl

    Go on, have a guess
So long as it is working, it's not a problem. named will usually have the required permissions to read the zone files in /var/named through the user or group owner and that's all that is important.
