    Hi,

I am looking for a little help with setting up a cPanel DNS cluster.

I have three servers; A, B and C which are all web servers.

I have two nameservers (ns1 and ns2), which are configured on A and B respectively.

So A and B are web servers and DNS, and C is just a web server.

When setting up the clustering, I add the other two servers to each of the three servers, but what do I select for Sync or Standalone on each of the three servers?

    Thanks :)

forgot to add... regarding the Dns Role, you need to select Standalone next to each web server’s in the Cluster table. If you want the name server to receive information from the web server, but not send data to it.

Thanks for the help serversignature, but the documentation doesn't really cover my situation, it only covers seperate DNS and web servers.

Is this the correct setup that I should use:

    Server A (web and DNS)

    Server B - Sync
    Server C - Standalone

    Server B (web and DNS)

    Server A - Sync
    Server C - Standalone

    Server C (web only)

    Server A - Sync
    Server B - Sync

    Is this right?

That looks good, you have the right idea in that C is a standalone server and does not need to have all of the zones copied to it.

Thanks :) I don't even need to have BIND running on Server C do I?
