I'm setting up dns clustering for a server move I'm getting ready to make. I've setup the clustering on both servers but am not sure they are correct.

Looking at the cluster config on the new server i'm getting ready to move to it shows the follwing:

    NEW SERVER-
    dns role: synchronize
dns peer: ip of old server
dns path: points from new server to old server

Is this correct? Seems the dns path should be just the opposite.

    Cluster config on old server:

    OLD SERVER-
    dns role: standalone
dns peer: states 'there are no dns peers'
dns path: lists only the old server

    Does this look right?

    cPanel Access Level:
    DataCenter Provider
dns role: synchronize both servers (I curently sync all my active DNS servers)

so all zones are on both servers

Run a munual sycnc after you make the changes and ensure all zone files repeat on both servers before you move sites over use old meathod as the last time i used the new for the first sync it would time out the old meathod is slow but it works

move your sites over then delete form old server
turn the sycn off when you are absolutly sure there is no proagation issues

I really wish somebody could help answer this question at the sametime.
