I am moving a lot of customers from a windows based environment to Cpanel.

When I setup a new domain, I typically setup the following for every domain in the system

mail.domain.com --> points to their webmail

All the other default entrys are fine, I can deal with them.

I am looking for a simple solution so that everytime a new account is created it already has a pointer (fowarder, etc) on the new account which points the user to the webmail system. Perhaps to make this easier, i want everyone to use Horde email only. (one mail client to learn and support)

Your ideas and suggestions are appreciated.

I probably am not understanding this correctly, but you can disable all but horde for your customers via WHM.
When you create an account with WHM, it takes care of all the work for you from there.

When a user wants to check their email online, they can use this URL.
    http://domain.com/webmail/ which will work.

    But,
If you have set this in tweak setting via WHM,
Always redirect users to the ssl/tls ports when visiting /cpanel, /webmail, etc.
It will redirect them to a secure port.

    If you have this set,
When visiting /cpanel or /whm or /webmail with ssl redirect to the servers hostname.
It will redirect to a secure port and show the server hostname instead of the domain name.

I think that's what you want to know. (or is it?)
