DNS does not restart for added domains

Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but we are experiencing an issue that seems a bit strange with DNS.

Normally when someone adds an addon or parked domain to their account it is automatically added to the dns server as well (separate server configured with a trust relationship, no clustering).

However lately, it will add the domain but will not restart named so the new domain is not loaded into the config. If you restart named manually after the domain is added it then works fine.

What could be causing this and/or what is a good way to fix it?
