DNS domain redirect

Hi!

Today one client ask for a DNS redirect, he wants to redirect a domain hosted on my server to another domain on another server.

I told him to use a redirect code on his index but still ask for dns redirect.

What is dns redirect and how can i do it ?

well its kinda vauge here

Its not really clear, are you the registrar of his domain name? If so then point his nameservers to the other location. If he is then tell him to do the same from godaddy or whatever he is using. Or have him setup a redirect in his cpanel. If he wants a DNS redirect and you are going to oblige you can change the cname values in the Edit DNS settings to reflect the desired location. Just a question here. It sounds like he is moving to a new host and wishes for there to be zero downtime on his site? Sound about right?
