Dns Error

    Im getting a error on a cpanel server

    Attempting to restart named
    Waiting for named to restart.... . . . . . . . . . . finished

    named statusnamed is disabled


    Service: [named] has been disabled by the sys admin


    can some one give me some shell commands to fix this

    Did you disable named? you'll have to enable named to work.

    I dont no the commands to re enable it can some one give me the shell commands what to do

    /scripts/restartsrv named

    if that fails,

    service named restart

    Re Dns Bind Error

    Hello

    Thanks for the commands one works other one failed the dns works now still says dns Disabled


    Also once i restart the server i have to do those commands again

    As I said, you need to make sure that named is enabled in the Service Manager within the WHM.

    Thank you that worked i dont no how it became turned off


    thats funny unless it did it when i was doing a cpanel Update
