    Hi,

    Do people keep primary and secondary n amer server in
    same Server with different IP?


    What is the purpose if they keep in same sserver?


    please let me know.

    You can configure primary and secondary IPs redirecting to one server.
    For high availability and reliability or if you have more than a server it is recommended to setup secondary name server in a second server.

    Secondary name server is required for high availability, reliability and faster access, in perfect implementation it is recommended to put the secondary, tertiary and etc. in different physical locations of the world

    It became as a standard that you have to fulfill, smaller corporations put both primary and secondary in one server.
