    Hello everyone,

We decided to put up our own cPanel server on our data center instead of relying on a dedicated server solution. We had a clean CentOS 4 server and had the reseller install cPanel in there.

Now we want to migrate accounts from the old cPanel on the dedicated server into the new one.

My question is, do we need to be running a separate BIND server to be able to add/edit/remove DNS zone files? can we use the one running on our localhost?

We've noticed that on the our old cPanel server which we don't host, the NS entries of the zones point to that of the dedicated hosting provider.
