If my deployed VPSs that I used for Nameservers has apache and mysql on them, how do I disable it? My impression is that I don't need these? Or is it just apache?

    Thanks,
    Frank

    Hello Frank,

It's usually advised that our products are installed on the minimal version of the operating systems we support.

If the deployed VPS already has Apache and MySQL installed then I would advise going ahead and reloading the VPS with a fresh install of the operating system to eliminate any potential problems either on install or down the road.

MySQL does run on cPanel DNS only machines for cPHulk Brute Force Protection and MySQL even shows up in WHM > Restart Services > SQL Server (MySQL) for that reason.

On cPanel DNS only, Apache doesn't need to run, though.
