DNS Round Robin Default IP Address

Hello peeps,

I have a website at the moment which is all well and dandy. However In the rare event of down time I would like to be prepared.

My plan of attack is to have a 2nd server that acts as a mirror, just like they did in the whole wiki leaks saga (not that I'm expecting my website to be ddosed lol). I plan to use the "round robin effect" i.e one IP address is down or slow it send the reader to the other IP address after the TTL expires.

However my 2nd server is just an old PC I'm converting into an Apache server, so I plan to only put a minimum amount of traffic through. So my question is, is there anyway I can set the IP of my 1st server as the default address?

Thank you
