I'm just comissioning a new server.

I can't ping any domains from ssh, so I guess their must be a DNS problem?
Not trying to do anything fancy, just get the box running mysql and a couple of websites.
I guess I must have done something wrong in the initial setup, but I've looked at my other box settings and it looks simillar

I just created an account and got this error:
Error reconfiguring bind on pingu: rndc: connect failed: connection refused

    Hey mate,
just letting you know that I fixed this problem today.

You need to add nameservers for your server itself.

Goto SERVER SETUP > EDIT SETUP (the wizard that you started with in WHM)

    Look for this:

    Code:
    HOSTNAME
    * The server's current hostname. This value should be a fully qualified domain name and will need to resolve properly. Changine this value does not set the server's current hostname.
To change the server's current hostname, use the Change Hostname function under Server Setup.
You need to add an entry into /etc/resolv.conf for that server

    eg:

    domain server.yourdomain.com
    nameserver 12.13.14.51
    nameserver 12.13.14.51
