Hi everybody.. I set up a cpanel and add a new dedicated IP address in IP FUNCTIONS in whm and tied it to the cpanel account that I've created.. Let just say I'm using the domain name "mydomain.com" in this cpanel account.

Now, I want to add a DNS wildcard in this account. I use * for the name field and use the main shared IP ADDRESS for the address.. I'm expecting name.mydomain.com to work but it just give me the generic page of the server..

Is there something I missed up? Please help. Thanks..

Hello :)

Are you attempting to configure wildcard subdomains? If so, you should undo any changes you have made to configure this manually, and simply add a subdomain using "*" as the entry via the cPanel interface.

Thank you.
