Can not access site without typing the "www" before the domain name!!! Please help!!

I am trying to edit the DNS zone file so the following will occur:

1. Website will point to a differnt IP address which is NOT on my server (or within the network at all)

2. FTP will point to a different IP address which is NOT on my server (or within the network at all)

3. Mail will be delivered locally to my server.

Currently if I type in the domain name with the "www" it resolves to the site like I want it to.

Currently when I send mail to the domain it is delivered to my server as I want it to be.

HOWEVER - when I try to access the domain without the www I receive the following error: "Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)

You need the "IN"s, should be:

domain.com. 14400 IN NS ns.nameserver.com.
domain.com. 14400 IN NS ns2.nameserver.com
domain.com. 14400 IN A xx.xx.166.60
localhost.domain.com. 14400 IN A xxx.0.0.1
domain.com. 14400 IN MX 0 mail.domain.com.
mail 14400 IN A xx.xx.55.167
www 14400 IN A xx.xx.166.60
ftp 14400 IN A xx.xx.166.60
