    Hey guys,
I promoted an account to a reseller the other day but when they log in none of their DNS zones show up under "Edit DNS Zones". When viewing the zone as root, it correctly identifies the owner at the bottom of the zone. I have already looked in the /var/cpanel/users directory for their username, and the zones are indeed present in that file. I ran /scripts/updateuserdomains and they still don't show up. Recreating the zones is an option but I would like to avoid that if possible.

Does the Reseller own the domains properly? Are the Reseller options set to allow Add, Edit, Park, Remove under DNS options?

Not sure if any of that matters but worth checking I think.

I had it set to Add and Edit. I added Park and Remove but they still don't show up.

And the Reseller does own the accounts correct? In looking at other threads similar there was a defect reported back in 2009 for something like this. If forcing an update doesn't help, and all settings seem to be correct, you might want to report it:

Alright, it's my fail. That was the exact issue. I had made the reseller account but the actual hosting account was not owned by the reseller. My fellow admin found out that it was owned by root, changed it to the account and presto, they showed up. Thanks for the help!
