    I have a question regarding the DNS Zone Edit page of WHM. I have personal nameservers we will call those ns1 and ns2.myhosting.com, my host has ns1 and ns2.hostdomain.net, and my client is domain.com. In this attached photo is a representation of the way my client's DNS Zone looks. I am wondering should the SOA be ns1.myhosting.com. instead of ns1.hostdomain.net.? Also should the NS entries be ns1 and ns2.myhosting.com? All this DNS stuff really is confusing me. If someone could answer my questions regarding the nameservers I would appreciate it. Also an explanation of what each entry means would be helpful too.

    TIA,

    Just a quick note on your image there. You've been successfull in removing the domain name address itself and the ip address(es) from the dns zone file, however you didnt remove it the URL bar of the browser.

    Who is the Master NS of the Domain?

    If you using Stealth DNS which is :

    Yourserver = Master

    ns1 + ns2 hosting are slaves then the SOA should be yourserver

    If you are not clustered with ns1 and ns2 and not the master then the SOA should be whatever the Master NS is.

    At least as I understand it
