Hi guys,

I installed cPanel DNSONLY using the Centos+cPanel ISO, added the file to enable DNSONLY - however its displaying the following;

Trial License
This copy of cPanel & WHM is for trial use and will expire at the end of the trial period. You will need to upgrade to a paid copy of cPanel & WHM to continue using the software after that period.
I've managed to setup DNS clustering and still see the warning above. Is this normal?

Cheers

Uni

WHM reports that the cluster is OK, but even after synchronising I see now records in /var/named on the DNSONLY server.

Hello :)

Please run the following command to update the license file:

Code:
/usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt
You may also want to force a cPanel update via:

Code:
/scripts/upcp --force
As far as clustering, are you sure the web server is configured to synchronize changes to the DNS-Only server? Did you try manually syncing the zones via "WHM Home » DNS Functions » Synchronize DNS Records"?

Thank you.

Hi Michael,

Thank you for coming back to me.

I ran both the cpkeyclt and updater successfully, but no change I'm afraid.

I've set the DNSONLY server as standalone and tried a manual Sync - still nothing.

Could you open a support ticket using the link in my signature so we can take a closer look? You can post the ticket number here so we can update this thread with the outcome.

Thank you.

To update, the issue was addressed by setting the DNS Role on the cPanel server to "Write Only". It was previously set to "Standalone", which results in zones not synchronizing. The "Trial" license was previously activated on the IP address used for DNS-Only.

Thank you.
