    I've heard that there is a beta version of DNSOnly cPanel. How can I install it on a fresh server? There are rumors that it works much better... :rolleyes:

    BINGO: Discovered how

    Okay,

    You need to go along with the Cpanel DNSOnly install as normal but wait till it hangs at the four repeating dots. At this point it is usually trying to download Compress::Zlib which seems to cause it to fart, burp and die. I opened another ssh session to the server and ran:
    Code:
    ps -ax
    to confirm this.

    Then, I stopped the install (using the control-c key combo) and edited /etc/cpupdate.conf as follows:
    Replace:
    Code:
    CPANEL=dnsonly
    with:
    Code:
    CPANEL=dnsonly-beta
    After this, I forced an update using
    Code:
    /scripts/upcp --force
    When it was done... all seemed well and good.

    Ross

    Thanks a lot for your reply!
    This worked perfectly for me - cPanel successfully upgraded to latest beta.
