HI

My VPS provider is chaning IP of my VPS only and now I need to change that IP.

Now I hav old and new IP and I need to change all to a new IP, but I am now sure how to achieve that.

I have tried to change DNS record and added new IP to hosts in VPS. But I only get errors.
Also not sure how to change main IP on DNSOnly server, I cannot change it for nameserver, hostname in Basic setup

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey,

Since DNS only is stripped down version you won't get easy controls.

If i were you, i would change DNS records for domains to use new secondary DNS server IP.

After DNS only server IP change you could reinstall server and it would automatically take new IP.

Then change IP in the Cluster settings and new KEY.

The DNS records that are using that nameserver only have the name of that nameserver, not the IP.
If the IP of the nameserver changes you have to change it in 2 places:
1. in the registrar where the name server is registered
and
2. in the DNS zone of the nameserver domain.
