The company I work for currently has a cPanel/WHM server for hosting some of our sites & we're looking to add some redundency to our dns. We're looking at setting up cPanel DNS only on another one of our servers but there is some concern about the "cPanel DNSONLY should only be installed on dedicated physical nameservers with no previous content on them.". Could anyone provide more info on this? The server we're planning on using currently has a minimally used apache install & shoutcast. Will those interfere with DNSOnly or will it interfere with them?

    Hello :)

Ideally, you should install cPanel DNS-Only on a fresh installation of the operating system. There is potential for the cPanel DNS-Only installer to remove existing configuration files. It's not recommended to install cPanel DNS-Only on an established server.

    Thank you.
