Is the DNSOnly really only DNS, or can it serve as fallback mailserver (secondary MX) as well?

    Go on, have a guess
It can be used for mail, but you'll have to install your own mail server as it doesn't install one as part of the installation. You might be able to use /scripts/eximup to install exim, but I don't have a DNS only server to check, otherwise you could just use the OS vendor default, or install your favourite MTA and configure appropriately to relay and queue for backup MX services.

It does, unless you manually edit the eximup file.
