Do domain aliases put extra load on http, mail and/or ftp servers?

    Well the title is the question...

    By default all parked domains (alises) have mail and ftp definitions in their DNS record. Do these pose a problem in performance or security? E.g. parked domains also get attack from hackers/spammers.

    Hello,

    Aliases (Parked Domains) point to a document root that already exists. The addition of an alias shouldn't effect the server load unless the addition of the alias generates more traffic (e.g. the aliased domain name already has an established base of traffic, and it now points to your server).
