Do I need to restart Apache?

    If I edit the httpd.conf file via FTP or shell, do I need to restart apache afterwards? I had to do this on another account i had (Freebds). Wondering if it needs to be done with red hat linux running cpanel.

    And ooops... I meant SFTP. I'm not as dumb as I seem (grin). But def have a lot to learn!
