Do vanity nameservers need ssl?

The SSL for my vanity nameservers are about to expire and I don't have cpanel anymore.

Will my vanity nameservers ssl certificate expiring effect my cpanel sites that use separate paid ssl certificates?

Hey there! As far as I'm aware, nameservers don't have any concept of SSL certificates. SSLs encrypt the connection to web content through a web server, and the nameserver requests reach the server over a completely different port and mechanism.

You may have the ns1 and ns2.domain.com subdomains created in Apache, but that is still separate from the actual DNS functions of the system.
