Documentation for fix scripts?

One of our hosting clients just had a problem with one of their POP acccounts (timing out when trying to access via webmail or Outlook Express) - our data centre suggested a bunch of fix scripts:

/scripts/fixpop
/scripts/fixwebmail
/scripts/mailperm
/scripts/fixcommonproblems

Great! Problem solved. BUT I'd like to know if there is any general documentation about these Cpanel/WHM-specific scripts, eg. what they do, when is it appropriate to use them, risk factors...

The scripts sometimes change and new ones are added with time. If you can read perl, the source code is definitely the best documentation available.
