We installed auth_mysql on one of our cpanel servers a few months ago. Everything worked fine until a client told me this morning that it was no longer working. I looked at httpd.conf and saw that the appropriate lines had been commented out. When I asked our server admin about this he said cpanel commented out the lines because cpanel is no longer compatible with auth_mysql. Is that true? Anyone have auth_mysql working on their cpanel server?

    current versions are:

    WHM 7.2.0 cPanel 7.2.1-R144
    RedHat 7.3 - WHM X v2.1

    Thanks.
