Howdy folks,

I was wondering if cPanel is storing all the e-mail messages it sends somewhere inside system logs? I tried searching for them but couldn't find it.
For example this mail ;
From: cPanel on host <[email protected]>
Subject: The backup process completed.
Body : The backup process... bla bla

or the one from LFD ; excessive resource usage

is it being stored in the system somewhere?
We're trying to eliminate e-mails and show those notifications some other way by grabbing them from logs or wherever they are stored.
Thanks!

All mail transactions including system emails are logged in the exim mainlog by default. Furthermore cPanel does add an entry to the cPanel error log for a lot notifications including the backup success notification, if it's backups specifically you can also check the cPanel backup logs.

Exim's Mainlog:

Code:
/var/log/exim_mainlog
cPanel's Error Log:
Code:
/usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log
cPanel Automated Backup Logs:
Code:
/usr/local/cpanel/logs/cpbackup

cPanel does not log LFD transactions but they should be present within the mainlog as well as LFD's own logs.

Thanks!
