Folks,

A standard Mailman installation allows a mailing list to have a different Email Domain and Web Domain. For example, [email protected] and http://lists.domainname.tld/mailman/listinfo/mailinglist

Does cPanel Mailman installation allows a mailing list to have a different Email Domain and Web Domain? Can I use [email protected] and http://lists.domainname.tld/mailman/listinfo/mailinglist_domainname.tld?

Both domainname.tld and lists.domainname.tld are assigned to the same account.

Thanks.

Jim

Hello Jim,

The cPanel installation does not provide the lists.domain.com subdomain for mailman mailing lists to represent the same domain as the main domain. The only additional subdomain option we provide would be this WHM > Tweak Setting option for mailman mailing lists:

Prefix “mail.” onto Mailman URLs [?]
Add the mail. prefix for mailman URLs (ie http://mail.domain.com/mailman)
Setting this option in Tweak Settings to "On" would then allow both //http://mail.domainname.tld/mailman/listinfo/mailinglist_domainname.tld and //http://domainname.tld/mailman/listinfo/mailinglist_domainname.tld to function.
