As the first account I have set up and messed up on the new server, I am trying to re-setup the account. Cpanel comes back and says domain already exists remove it from httpd.conf : line 1120).

How do I do this, there seems to be not utility to even show that it is there.

    Thank you

Open the httpd.conf using any editors like vi

Then you have to remove the corresponding entries for the domain from there. You should be able to do it very easily...

    My ignorance shows but..

I did manage to connect to the server with an SSH package. The only directories that are showing look basic and have limited content. Would this file be in a hidden directory? Is there an easier way to get at it other than VI?

    Thank you

    Go on, have a guess
If you're not sure what you're doing, you either need to read up on server management from the bash shell, or hire a server admin to help you out (or ask your datacenter if they offer such support).
