If we have a domain name called domain.com and want to setup a domain alias like corp.domain.name how do we do that?

Do we need to set up a cname record for corp.domain.com and mx record for it?

What type of recors do we need to setup.

    1. We need domain.com to be the web site.
    2. we need webmail for domain.com
    3. we need corp.domainname to point to an exchange server. we have this setup mx 10 server86.appriver.com, mx 20 server87.appriver.com

    any help would be appreciated.

Do I make any sense at all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Thanks

    Steve

You can create a sub domain under your domain name like corp.domainname. But, I doubt if you can use custom MX records for this sub domain..

if you have access to WHM you can set the MX records there, also for each subdomain.
