    Hello,

I don't fully understand the domain setup that is needed. This is how I currently did it, I'm not sure if it's wrong or not. Let's assume my domain is "hosting.com". These are the records I added in my domain registrar's page (namecheap).

server.hosting.com is an A record to my server's primary IP
ns1.hosting.com is an A record to another IP
ns2.hosting.com is an A record to yet another IP.

Is this correct? or do I need an NS record of some kind somewhere? Everything seems to work fine with this setup.

    Thanks

    Hello spork985,

You will need to add hostname records for your ns1 and ns2 .youdomain.com.

Depending on the registrar you are using, there are different ways of doing this. Once it is done with your domain registrar, you then need to make sure the IP's are assigned on your server to those ns records and on the main dns record for the domain name itself.

Your domain registrar will have the option for you to register the Nameservers
ns1.hosting.com and ns2.hosting.com so that you can pass them on to your clients.

You should be looking out for an option like Create / Register Nameservers.
