In a website setup for a client, I'm having a redirect issue involving two hosting services. The website was set up a subdirectory on the client's original site (originalsite.com/newsite) hosted by securewebz. The domain for the website is newsite.net on godaddy, and there is a redirect at the cPanel on their securewebz site. It is not working - both originalsite.com/newsite and newsite.net go to originalsite.com/newsite.
The client has multiple redirects for subdomains, subdirectories, and old urls set up on the securewebz site that are working correctly, but all are hosted at the originalsite host, securewebz. The only one that isn't working is hosted elsewhere (godaddy).
My questions: should having two hosts affect a redirect? What should I look for in godaddy's settings to ensure the redirect works properly? Or in securewebz?
