Hi
I had a website which was something like this "xyz.com", I needed to change it to .net so I went to "modify account" and changed the domain to "xyz.net"
The problem is that when I type

xyz.net it automatically takes me to xyz.com

however If I type xyz.net/?a then the correct website loads up perfectly, where should I start checking for mis-config?

Regards.
Mike.

Hi @oah

Did you possibly have a CMS like WordPress installed for the xyz.com site? If so the site url may need to be modified. You also may need to look into the possibility of redirects present in the account as well as aliases.

Thanks!

@oah dont forget to implement a 301 redirect for all your old urls to the new domains url. That will ensure any authority/trust and backlinks obtained from your old domain are 301 redirected to your new domain URL's thus keeping all your link juice in tact. You can achieve this via htaccess rules. Wordpress out of the box wont do this.
