I just terminated an account and noticed the same redirect as mentioned in this thread.

The domain is (and always was) pointed to the main server IP and has to remain active.

How can I get it to show my default apache page instead (as it used to work in the past)?

Please clarify where you are seeing the domain redirect to after terminating the account it belonged to.

When the account was terminated, did you retain the DNS zone, or was the DNS zone removed at the time of account termination?

If the DNS zone was not retained upon account termination, did you recreate the DNS zone?

    Sorry for not being clearer.

The domain uses external nameservers, so it is still resolving to the main server ip address. There is no zonerecord for that domain.

So basically this is now just a domain pointing to the main server ip. When I type in the URL it shows the redirect mentioned above instead of he default apache page.

Thank you for the clarification and added detail; that is greatly appreciated.

To the best of my knowledge it is normal for a domain without a virtual host to show the default web page. Are you seeing differing behavior where certain domains that do not have a virtual host show something other than the default web page?

I checked and noticed this issue indeed occurs with every domain that doesn't have a virtualhost directive.
